This site grows out of years of travel, lived experience, and a life spent paying attention to how place shapes perspective. Ralph Kraft’s writing moves between memoir, essay, and story, reflecting on what it means to live and travel as a citizen of the world, and how culture, politics, and memory are carried from one place to another. Alongside shorter work, the site also sets the stage for a forthcoming novel, as well as reflections drawn from the long road that led to it.
