About

Ralph Kraft is a green eyed, independent soul who has charted his own direction. He had been an Army Reservist before following a purchasing career in Industrial supply and managing a multi-million dollar inventory supply. Dissatisfied, he transitioned into a Canadian teacher of English as a Second Language to adult speakers of other languages.

He spent three years in the Czech Republic teaching highschool and business people, returned to Canada for six to work with new adult immigrants and went to China for a few months. In India for two years, he taught computer techs customer service skills and Canadian pronunciation so they could service Canadian customers. In Kuwait for months, he taught senior military officers and in Saudi Arabia, he taught university students essay writing for five years. He moved to Bolivia in 2012 where he taught highschool until 2018 and online till 2023. 30-40% of his online students were Russian speakers and a small handful stayed with him for years after Putin invaded Ukraine. In 2023, he retired to write creative nonfiction and humour. He hails from the Vancouver area. He has lived and taught in seven countries of various cultures for over twenty years. Most of his stories are about his cross-cultural experiences. Many relate to teaching experiences.

He has been writing for the last few years and now in 2026 lives in La Paz, Bolivia.
